Who, When, Where, Why

Welcome to my third bicycle tour blog.  Remember, I'm super amateur at blogging so you will be very impressed with it if you have low expectations - haha...  

Who is doing this tour? Myself, my wife (Julie) and her older brother Chuck.  Welcome team Switzychuck2026.

When:  Flights leave Tuesday, May 19 to June 6 

Where:  Switzerland!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why:  Pure pleasure and outdoor scenery.  This tour is a bit more of a leisure ride with relaxed riding days of approximately 30 miles per day and staying inn-to-inn.  

The adventure will be approximately 400 miles of beautiful riding on Switzerland Route 9 with my wife (Julie) and brother-in-law (Chuck).  We've rented E-bikes for both Chuck and Julie in Geneva that will help to tame the hills.  We will start with a train ride from Geneva to St. Gallen where we begin our pedaling back to Geneva.  Will be amazing! Check out the route!!!  Just under 400 miles and about 27K feet in elevation.  Of course, this is a bicycle tour, so we reserve the right to change this however we feel along the way!

The weather should be quite mild - somewhere in the range of 55-80 degrees F while we are riding.  We do expect rain at some point, but will be well prepared.
