Train to Geneva - end of ride, but not end of smiles

We caught the early train out of Interlaken so that we could do a quick ride around Bern (our train change on the way to Geneva).

I made use of Gemini for quick suggestions on a route we could enjoy in 3 hours that covers some of the interesting sights near the train station.  It came up with six stops, including Parliament, a cool bridge very old bridge, a rose garden (where we had lunch), clock tower and the Old Town.  The stop worked great.

We then hopped our train to Geneva, returned our bikes and now I'm in the process of dis-assembling my bike and packing it into the suitcase.  The has been an amazing trip and I'm grateful to Chuck and Julie for joining me.  Cheers!!

Geissbach Falls

Our last ride at Interlaken.  We started this route yesterday, but turned around early due to what looked like a cloudburst coming our way.  Well, we polished our last day here with an excellent ride where we visited a spot on the lake made famous by Korean dramas.  It appeared that 2 different weddings took place at that location during the short time we were there.  Also, Geissbach Falls were pretty spectacular.  At the viewing area, you could walk behind the falls.  It must have been a pretty large drop because the impact below felt quite violent.  We rode just over 20 smiles today. :)

Also.... I got a hair cut today - hahah... the guy was Kurdish.  He put hot wax in my ears and nose and CLEANED me up!!  I did not expect that at all!!

Julie Paraglides!!! and Lake Brienz

We've learned that Interlaken is a premier destination for para gliding.  I had no idea.  But there are hundreds of para gliders every.  Yesterday, while eating lunch, they were landing across the street in a small park.  Julie, finding them incredibly enchanting, decided to 'go for it' and purchased a slot for a tandom ride.  So cool!  Then, afterwards we did a short bicycle ride along Lake Brienz before an afternoon rainstorm.
